Our TEachers and Staff
Crystal Lind - Director
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to work with you and your children. I’m looking forward to bringing my experience and work ethic to serve your educational needs. Throughout my childcare career I’ve learned how to focus on developing an individual child’s talents while maintaining the organization of an entire class, and finally several programs.
My husband, Dean, and I have lived in Monument for decades. We have raised our own children and three of our grandchildren, of whom we are very proud. My childcare focus has been primarily on early childcare development. I began my career as a teacher in a situation very similar to the one I now face, in a church education environment. My natural organization talents led me through several promotions and positions of increasing responsibility ranging from site director, group lead and assistant director, to eventually owning my own successful Montessori center for over five years. My recent position as a program director for Bear Creek Elementary enabled me to implement effective education curricula while balancing play and mental health. I cherish the impact I’ve had on many young lives and I hope to continue enriching the education environment for children for years to come.
I have been Director Qualified by the Colorado Department of Human Services from 2010 to 2021 and in 2011 received my International Montessori Teaching Diploma from the North American Montessori Center. I am medication and CPR/First Aid Certified. My Early Childhood Education was performed primarily at Pikes Peak Community College. I don’t believe in a blanket approach to education. Every child’s need is different and must therefore be individually addressed. I believe in guiding children to become their true selves, in helping them to discover the strengths and talents they already possess.
Looking forward to this new beginning and working with you all.
Kristi Priddy - Lead Teacher
I have a degree in Child Development from the University of Texas at Austin. I have spent the last 20 years teaching in half day preschool programs just like FSP. I began working at FSP in June 2016 when we moved from Austin to Colorado Springs. My husband and I have been married 25 years and we have 3 children, Ashton(21), Riley (19) and Avery(16). In my free time I like to read, knit and hike with my dog. Working at FSP is a joy! I think the beautiful setting inspires learning. It is also a privilege to work with a group of teachers that are supportive, creative and encourage innovation. I believe that FSP is a loving environment for children, staff and parents.
